  • Hours Per Week: 10-15
  • Days and Schedule to be worked: Sunday 4-9 PM, Monday-Thursday 5-9 PM

Position summary:

Under the direction of the Administrative Services Coordinator, the Site Supervision Assistant performs a variety of tasks to support the efficient provision of academic support services to university students. The Site Supervision Assistant is responsible for managing site issues during evening hours included but not limited to customer service and facilities issues and facilitating emergency response.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as evening site supervisor. Resolve escalated customer service and facilities issues. Put in facilities management requests as needed.
  • Perform front desk functions. Make decisions about front desk coverage for last minute absences and temporary procedure adjustments as needed.
  • Know all procedures related to handling emergencies and student behavior issues. Take the lead in facilitating emergency protocols. File incident reports as needed and communicate any issues that arise to Admin Services Coordinator, Assistant Director, Director and other staff as needed.
  • Manage correspondence sent to the THINK TANK email during evening shifts.
  • Ensure accurate collection of student usage data. Document appointment cancellation details related to billing for fee-based services.
  • Assist with managing office procedures and troubleshooting office equipment. Assist in updating training manuals and resources as needed.
  • Regularly communicate the progress, outcomes, and direction of work to the Admin Services Coordinator and Assistant Director. Make recommendations concerning improvement of front desk and office procedures.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A current University of Arizona graduate student enrolled in at least 6 units
  • Must be available to work Sunday—Thursday from 4:00-9:00 PM.

  • 1 year of work experience in customer service or site management
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a large team
  • Resourceful and able to manage difficult situations
