About Private Tutoring
Private tutoring sessions are available for those looking for more in-depth academic support. Our content tutors offer Private Tutoring to individuals and small groups. This fee-based service is provided to University of Arizona students and courses.
Individual Private Tutoring
One-hour private tutoring appointments are held in person at Bartlett Academic Success Center on the 2nd floor or via Zoom. You can have one-on-one appointments or schedule a group appointment with up to two of your classmates. During your scheduled appointment, you will work with your tutor in a way that best suits how you learn. You are encouraged to come prepared with material or concepts that you have questions about.
Group Private Tutoring
Group private tutoring is also available for you and up to two other students. These one-hour appointments are held in person at Bartlett Academic Success Center on the 2nd floor or via Zoom. During your scheduled appointment, you will work with your tutor in a way that best suits your group’s needs. You are encouraged to come prepared with material or concepts that you have questions about.

Policies
By signing up for a private or group session, you agree to have your Bursar’s account billed unless you have received a THINK TANK scholarship for the service.
For group appointments, at least two students from the group must attend each appointment for the group rate to apply.
Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. You will be billed for any appointment you sign up for and do not cancel on time.
You can cancel appointments in our scheduling system. If you are not able to cancel in the scheduling system, you must contact our reception desk staff. If you call when we are closed, please leave a voicemail.
Appointments you do not attend or cancel are considered a 'no show.'
After three no shows, the Tutoring staff can cancel any future appointments made and you will need to meet with the Tutoring Services Manager to have your appointments reinstated.
No refunds will be issued for no shows.

To view private appointment options for Summer 2025, please log on to your CatCloud account, and visit the Academic Support tab. Options for private tutoring based on your current course enrollment will be visible at this time. If you do not see any private tutoring availability, are enrolled in the course at another institution, or are having trouble navigating the site, please reach out to the tutoring team at contenttutoring@arizona.edu.

NO SHOW POLICY
Students must cancel appointments no later than 24 hours in advance. Appointments that are not canceled will be registered as ‘no show’. After three no-shows, the Tutoring staff can cancel any future appointments made and the student will need to meet with the Tutoring Services Manager to have their appointments reinstated.
Fee-based appointments are charged to the student’s Bursar account unless cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.
