THINK TANK provides a variety of Academic Skills support for all students at any point in their University of Arizona career. Our Academic Skills services help students to develop learning strategies, study methods, and life skills needed to be successful in the classroom and beyond.  

 

Academic Coaching

About Professional Academic Coaching 

Professional Academic Coaching provides students with additional support and guidance at any point in their academic career at the University of Arizona. You will be connected with a professional Academic Coach based on the needs and interests you identify on our registration form. Your Academic Coach will meet with you one-on-one to discuss your goals and any challenges you may be encountering. They will help you develop strategies or connect to campus resources that will aid you in achieving your academic and non-academic goals.

Professional Academic Coaching is a fee-based service. You can purchase sessions individually or save by purchasing a bundle or semester pass. Students who are receiving the Pell Grant are eligible for a 25% discount on THINK TANK fee-based services.

One session: $65
Four session bundle: $250
Semester Pass: $600

form. One of our staff members will provide you with next steps within three business days of receiving the form. If you encounter any issues with the form or you are not contacted within three business days, please contact our reception desk staff at thinktank@arizona.edu or (520) 626-0530.

Academic Coaching Policies

• By completing the registration form, you agree to have your Bursar’s account billed before your
first session unless you have received a THINK TANK scholarship for the service.
• The number of sessions purchased must be used by the end of the semester you purchased
them in.
• You can have one appointment per week.
• Cancellations should be made 24 hours in advance whenever possible. You must contact your
Academic Coach to cancel an appointment.
• Appointments that are not cancelled are considered a ‘no show.’
       o No shows cannot be rescheduled.
       o After three no shows, you must email your Academic Coach for future appointments. If
         signed up for a bundle, your remaining appointments will be cancelled until you contact
         your Academic Coach to reschedule.
• No refunds will be issued for unused appointments or no shows.
