Math Exam Prep FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Registration Questions

Students enrolled in the courses we support with Math Exam Prep sessions can register for sessions through Retain up to a minute before the session begins. All students enrolled in Exam Prep supported courses will receive an invitation via email to register for a Math Exam Prep session two weeks before each exam. Once you attend your first session, you will have the option to complete a priority registration form to be enrolled in a Math Exam Prep session for each remaining exam.

If you registered for a session through Retain and have difficulty finding the Zoom meeting link or joining the session, please contact us.

If an Exam Prep session you want to attend is full, please contact us.

The material covered in each Exam Prep session is the same for each exam. If you register for more than one session, you will not receive any new study material from the additional session(s).

Fees and Cancellations

Each Exam Prep Session costs $45 and is billed directly to your Bursar’s account after the session has occurred.

Students must cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled session to avoid being charged for the session. You can cancel through Retain: please see our Student Guide to Retain for instructions on how to cancel an upcoming appointment.

If you are unable to cancel through Retain, please call our front desk at 520-626-0530. If no one answers, please leave a message with your name, NetID, and the date/time of the session you’re registered for.

Other

Math Exam Prep sessions consist of a lecture tailored to a review packet. Both the lecture and packet are one service, so we do not provide Math Exam Prep packets to students who are not registering for and attending a session.

These THINK TANK services are different. Math Exam Prep sessions are available for undergraduate math courses at the university, while Test Prep supports students who are preparing to take various college and graduate school admissions tests such as the GRE, MCAT, LSAT, GMAT, SAT, and ACT.

If you have any other questions about Math Exam Prep sessions, please contact Matthew Davila at mdavila11@arizona.edu or 520-626-9873.
