Role at THINK TANK
As a Learning Specialist at THINK TANK, I am deeply committed to supporting students on their educational journeys. Every day, I have the privilege of connecting with students, understanding their unique stories, and guiding them through both triumphs and challenges. With over 8 years of experience, I specialize in providing compassionate, individualized support to help them overcome academic challenges and reach their goals. My role allows me to wear many hats and one of those is to work one-on-one with students in the Schedule for Success and Academic Coaching programs, and I also assist those on academic recovery, providing the extra support they need to get back on track. What I love most about my job is the chance to be a part of each student's journey. I believe in the potential of every student and strive to create an environment where they feel valued and supported. My approach is not just about academic success but about nurturing the whole person. I help students set meaningful goals, develop effective study strategies, and navigate the complexities of university life with confidence.
Education
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Anatomy from the University of Arizona. This educational background has equipped me with a solid understanding of the human body and its functions, which I believe complements my role in supporting students’ overall well-being and academic success.
Hometown
Originally from Laie, Hawaii, I've also lived in Las Vegas, Utah, and now call Tucson home.
Activities/Interests
I have a passion for continuous learning and personal growth. Cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family are some of my favorite pastimes. My European Dobermans, Royal, Leah, and their puppy Nala, are like my children and bring immense joy to my life.
