Yá’át’ééh (Hello in Navajo)! My name is Kierstyn and I'm an Academic Coach who supports the success and growth of all students. By utilizing my cultural teachings and professional experience, I hope to help build students' self-confidence in their skills and abilities to persist while at the University of Arizona.

Education:
• Bachelor of Science, Public Administration and Public Policy, minor in American Indian Studies from the University of Arizona
• Master of Arts, Higher Education from the University of Arizona
• PhD in Progress, Higher Education from the University of Arizona

Hometown:
I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona but my family originates from the Seba Dalkai and Tselani-Cottonwood communities on the Navajo Nation.

Activities/Interests:
I'm a huge Studio Ghibli fan. My favorite Ghibli movies are From Up on Poppy Hill and Howl's Moving Castle. I also like to sew and teaching others how to sew. Sewing is such a fun way to be creative and it's always a satisfying feeling when you finish a project.
