Private tutoring sessions are available for those looking for support beyond our free drop-in services. Our content tutors offer Private Tutoring to individuals and groups for select courses. Our Writing Center professional staff offer Private Tutoring for writing projects and assignments.
Course-Specific Private Tutoring
THINK TANK offers private fee-based tutoring for University of Arizona students and courses. Our tutor training has International Tutor Training Program Certification through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). Our content tutors are certified their first semester of hire and are required to attend additional training sessions in subsequent semesters of employment in order to enhance their skills.

The list of courses for which private tutoring is available varies depending on the semester and tutor availability.
Types of Sessions
Course-specific private tutoring is available online and in-person as individual and group sessions. All online sessions are conducted via Zoom.
INDIVIDUAL SESSION [IN PERSON / ONLINE]
Fee-based private tutoring is available for select Math, Science, and Business courses as indicated on the private tutoring course list. Each individual session costs $35 and is charged to your Bursar account.

GROUP SESSION [IN PERSON / ONLINE]
Get together and SAVE! THINK TANK offers fee-based private tutoring for groups of 2-4 students. This service costs $20 per person per session and is billed to each student's Bursar account. If you know a few friends or classmates who would like to join you for a group tutoring session, please click the button below to submit a group tutoring request. Requests may take up to 3 business days to process, so please plan ahead!

NO SHOW POLICY
Students must cancel appointments no later than 24 hours in advance. Appointments that are not canceled will be registered as ‘no show’. After three no-shows, the Tutoring staff can cancel any future appointments made and the student will need to meet with the Tutoring Services Manager to have their appointments reinstated.
Fee-based appointments are charged to the student’s Bursar account unless cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.
