THINK TANK’s goal is to assist students in becoming independent learners by providing a range of resources that develop students’ skills and help them succeed academically. Under the supervision of the Marketing Specialist, the Marketing Outreach Assistant will focus on active outreach, tabling, and direct student interaction to raise awareness of THINK TANK services within the University of Arizona community.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Staff tabling station, maintain a clean and well-stocked area with brochures and giveaways
• Serve students and visitors by welcoming and directing them appropriately as needed
• Proactively network and build relationships with building contacts
• Track and maintain documentation of interactions
• Assist Marketing Specialist in assembling marketing materials for THINK TANK events
• Research best practices in the field of university marketing; keep up to date with new social media platforms and best practices
• Act as an ambassador of THINK TANK in various events and activities
• Complete tasks and activities according to scheduled deadlines
• Assist with special projects as assigned
• Abide by University of Arizona Code of Conduct and Academic Code of Integrity

Required Qualifications

• Current University of Arizona student enrolled in at least 6 units
• Able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly professional and punctual
• Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines
• Committed to creating a welcoming and positive environment for all students and sensitive to student diversity

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of facilities, classrooms, and services offered in the Bartlett Academic Success Center and Bear Down Building spaces
• Familiarity with THINK TANK services
• Graphic design skills
• Photography/videography skills
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud apps (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Spark, etc.)
• Experience with creating social media content (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)

Pay Rate

• The pay rate for this position is $13.50/hour. This position has a Federal Work Study (FWS) designation. Students are encouraged, but not required, to use Federal Work Study in this position if they are eligible.
